Off They Go

2008 Heifers
On Saturday, our last three calves from the 2008 season left the ranch to go to their new home in New Mexico. We are thrilled that they will have a loving home with McNeese family!

Good morning,
We came across your site in researching Scottish Highlands. My daughter, age 13, wishes to raise a couple dairy cows. The miniatures appear to be the perfect solution. We will be raising them on a small 15 acre farm. We help out on a local dairy farm now, and I think this would be a perfect solution. We can only drink so much milk.
* We notice unlike the standards around here, that yours are dehorned. Is there a particular reason?
* When would you be looking at having more to sell for 2009? Any heifers?
* Do you suggest they be sold in pairs due to their clannish nature?
* What temperament do you find your cattle to have?

We appreciate any information that you can provide for us. We have spent considerable time researching, and will of course continue to do so, before we make any decisions.
Nothing like jumping into something only to find out there isn't enough water to swim.
Thank you for your time. Appreciate the regular blogs.
